Introduction

As we approach the end of the year 2023, it is essential to plan ahead and mark the dates of the significant events and festivals in our calendar. This guide provides a detailed list of events and festivals that will take place from August to December 2023.

Personal Experience

September is a month of transition, where summer ends, and autumn begins. In Germany, Oktoberfest starts in September, where people celebrate with beer, food, and music. In Japan, the Mid-Autumn Festival or Tsukimi is celebrated, where people gather to view the full moon and eat mooncakes.

October

October is a month of spooky fun, with Halloween being celebrated in many countries. In Mexico, the Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos is celebrated, where people honor their ancestors with colorful altars and offerings. In India, the festival of Diwali takes place, where people light lamps to symbolize the victory of light over darkness.

November

November is a month of remembrance, where many countries honor their fallen soldiers and veterans. In the USA, Thanksgiving is celebrated, where families come together to share a meal and express gratitude. In India, the festival of Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated, where people honor the birth of the first Sikh Guru.

December

December is a month of festivities, with Christmas being celebrated in many countries. In the Philippines, the Simbang Gabi or Misa de Gallo is a series of nine early morning masses leading up to Christmas. In Israel, Hanukkah is celebrated, where people light candles for eight nights to commemorate the miracle of the oil in the temple.
